Wellbeing Practitioners provide Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LI-CBT) 1:1 to 11-18 year olds. LI-CBT teaches skills that can help with symptoms of mild-moderate low mood or anxiety. It is a type of talking therapy that identifies and changes patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are getting in the way of feeling good.

We work with local organisations in North Somerset to see young people, and we also accept self-referrals for LI-CBT from young people who live in or attend an educational provision (eg school/college) in North Somerset. If you are a parent, carer, or professional that thinks a young person would benefit from LI-CBT then you can support them to self-refer with their agreement.

Self Referral

We believe that you know best what you are experiencing so we take self-referrals from young people and you can sign up anytime.

LI – CBT

LI-CBT is evidenced-based to support with specific presentations of either low mood or anxiety. Please read our traffic light guide & our FAQs to help you decide if you want to refer yourself. We know it’s a lot to take in and you may not really know what you are experiencing. If you are still unsure after reading all the information, then refer yourself and you can find out more at your introductory session. Part of the Wellbeing Practitioner’s role is working with you to figure out if LI-CBT might be help you, so we don’t expect everyone to be certain it is the right fit.

We are still working on our traffic light guide & will add this in when it’s done but you are welcome to sign up in the meantime.
